If you are not expert in lacing, for your own safety please go to a professional one.
Steps to assemble a wheel:
1) Find the correct wheel dimensions:
a. Offset (to be measured on mounted wheel - FAQ)
b. Spokes (could have different lengths on the same wheel)
c. Sizes and rim characteristics (FAQ)
d. Sizes and tire characteristics (FAQ)
2) Disassemble the wheel:
a. It's advisable to keep all the original pieces until the wheel has been completely changed
3) Component settings:
a. Change hub with new original part or
b. Repair hub (through professional assistance)
- remove bearings (to be reinstalled afterwards on hub)
- steel hubs can be sandblasted then painted, aluminium ones polished
c. Spokes:
- shouldn't be repaired but substituted
d. Punched rim:
- advisable not to repair but change with new one
- the hole punchings must be at precise degree to hub and rim
4) Manual assembly:

will line up to the holes so to insert the nipples
c. Before proceeding check that everything is properly
set (i.e. rim, hub, spokes, disk brake)
d. Tighten nipples, spokes and verify offset and disk brake settings
e. Place bearings and check if centered
by rotating wheel
f. If wheel wagging occurs check spoke

tension (this operation is highly manual and
requires much patience)
g. Tighten nipples
h. Check offset and parameters
i. Check that no spoke exits its nipple

5) Tire fitting
a. The wheel is ready for fitting (advisable to contact a professional tire fitter)

6) Maintenance
a. Regularly check spokes and make sure that there
aren't any loose nipples
